Board member profile: Steve Hoeppner

As vice president of the Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation, Steve Hoeppner is responsible for assisting the president and chief executive officer of the foundation in the overall management and strategic direction of the organization. Within the foundation’s giving priorities, Hoeppner’s primary focus is education, so he is actively involved with the Schulze Family Foundation’s investment in the Catholic Schools Center of Excellence as well as its contributions to each of the 79 Catholic elementary schools in the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis.

“Catholic schools play a vital role in our community. They provide an environment in which an excellent academic experience, character development and faith formation can take place within the context of a school day,” said Hoeppner, who attended St. Peter’s Catholic School in Richfield, the Academy of Holy Angels and the University of St. Thomas. “It is very important for our community to have strong Catholic schools available to families who want to choose them, so among its variety of education-related contributions, the Schulze Family Foundation is very proud to support the transformational work of CSCOE.”
