Melissa graduated from the University of St. Thomas with a degree in Catholic Studies and Philosophy. She studied a semester in Rome, Italy, and developed a deep love of Italian pasta. She was the editor of the Catholic Studies department newsletter, managed the St. Paul Seminary magazine and freelanced for newspapers.
After graduating into the worst economic recession of modern times, Melissa went to work in politics. She worked in nearly every facet of the political world, from the Legislature to campaigns to the grassroots. Most recently, she served as Executive Director at a party.
Melissa believes that a great education changes a child’s world, and that the best education comes from Catholic schools. She considers herself blessed to be able to further the mission of CSCOE through communications.
When she is not at CSCOE, you can find Melissa showing off pictures of her cute little baby, obsessing over old houses, or making yet another fix to her and her husband Ryan’s 100 year-old home.
