Greg Wesely became principal at St. Joseph’s Catholic school in West St. Paul in 2016. Originally from Owatonna, his extensive experience in professional education includes 34 years as a teacher and principal in Minnesota, Texas and Wisconsin. Before coming to St. Joseph’s, he served as a principal in the Aquinas Catholic school system in La Crosse, Wisconsin, for 14 years.
Wesely and his wife, Anne, who currently teaches kindergarten at Holy Family Academy in St. Louis Park, have four children and one grandchild. He is an active member of his parish community serving as a lector and extraordinary minister of communion, volunteering in adult catechesis and marriage preparation, and as a member of the Knights of Columbus. Wesely is also passionate about Eucharistic adoration and respect life activities.
“St. Joseph’s is a vibrant community, passionate about Catholic education, passionate about helping our children grow in their Catholic faith and their academics,” Wesely said. “My invitation to everyone regarding our school is taken from Scripture: Come and see.”
