Visual Arts Winner: Liam O’Connor, Providence Academy, Plymouth
We started Shine On to promote arts education in our Catholic schools. Our schools love and support the arts, and there is no better way to enhance arts education than by showcasing the talent and hard work of students.
Shine On is in its second year and features performing and visual arts. First, students from our 79 preschool-8th grade Catholic schools audition and submit artwork. Judges with expertise in the field select finalists in each category who move on. Then the performers receive individual lessons from our partner, Lundstrum Performing Arts, as well as training for the group performance.
The final Shine On performance features a wonderful art gallery and a fabulous performance.
