Summit of Excellence

On October 18, 2017, more than 2,000 Catholic school faculty and staff participated in the Catholic Schools Summit of Excellence.

The event enhanced excellence through professional development in areas vital to 21st century learning. Those areas included integrating STEM learning, going green, serving students with disabilities, welcoming Latino students, early childhood classrooms and school safety.

Attendees included principals, teachers, custodial staff, school lunch specialists, school counselors and business administrators.

The conference was unique because it included all the levels necessary to ensure student success, from the maintenance and front office staff, to the teachers and administrators. It is very rare to have all in the same room to collaborate for student success. It shows the comprehensive manner in which CSCOE and our schools are pursuing excellence and ensuring quality in order to create the best possible environment for each student grow and learn.

The day ended with a surprise marching band on site to parade teachers to their waiting buses and vehicles.
