Announcing Our New CSCOE President: Michael Rainer

We have exciting leadership news at CSCOE! We are delighted to announce that after a comprehensive search and rigorous selection process, the Catholic Schools Center of Excellence Board of Directors has appointed Michael Rainer as the new President of CSCOE.

Meet Michael Rainer: Michael is an esteemed professional with a distinguished academic background, holding a Ph.D. in experimental psychology from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. He boasts an impressive academic profile with minors in statistics, market research, information processing, and clinical psychology.

In addition to his academic achievements, Michael has a rich history of professional experience in data and pricing science. He recently led major global pricing initiatives at McDonald’s as the Director of Pricing Science, Global Pricing, demonstrating his expertise in data-driven decision-making and strategic insights. Michael has also shared his knowledge as an educator, teaching at Minnesota State University for four years.

Michael is deeply committed to Catholic education, not only professionally but also personally. He and his wife, Elizabeth, are proud parents of six children who attend Saint Joseph’s CSTEM School in Waconia. Furthermore, Michael contributes his time and expertise as a member of the board at the same school, underscoring his enthusiasm to advancing Catholic education in the community.

A message from Michael: “To all the CSCOE benefactors, I am wholeheartedly committed to not only upholding but elevating the standards of academic excellence we are known for. Together, we will work tirelessly to increase enrollment and meet the funding needs necessary to ensure the Catholic schools we support not only succeed but also thrive. Your generosity inspires my commitment, and I am here to support every step of our journey towards greater achievements. As we advance, let us continue to embrace our cherished tradition of faith-based education, which remains the cornerstone of our mission and a guiding light in our educational endeavors.”

Looking ahead: Michael will officially begin his tenure on April 29, 2024, succeeding Steve Hoeppner, who has admirably served as the Interim President for the past 10 months. As we embark on this exciting new chapter with Michael at the helm, we are filled with optimism for the future of CSCOE and its impact on Catholic schools in Minnesota and beyond.

Please join us in welcoming Michael to the CSCOE community!
