Substitute Teach

Love Catholic schools? Love kids?

Attend a 2-day training to become a Catholic school substitute teacher! Whether you’re a prospective Catholic school teacher, a current parent, or a retiree, this course will prepare you with the skills needed to ensure continuity of learning when a teacher is absent.

  • When: Monday August 13, 2024 from 8:30am-2:30pm AND Tuesday, August 14, 2024 from 8:30am-2:30pm (attendance is required on both days)
  • Where: Nativity of Our Lord School, St. Paul
  • Cost: Free
  • Lunch: Provided both days
  • Registration: Click here to register by August 6, 2024

Course instructors will be Kate Wollan, Principal at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic School in St. Paul and Betsy Hand, Principal at St. Ambrose Catholic School in Woodbury.

Participants will receive a training manual, information on how to complete required background checks and paperwork, and guidance on how to connect with schools where they wish to sub. However, completion of the training does not guarantee employment as a substitute. Catholic school principals make all hiring decisions.
