The Believe and Read initiative in Pre-K classrooms emphasizes the importance of practical and effective literacy preparation for children entering kindergarten. Designed to enhance – not replace – your existing core literacy programs, Believe and Read serves as a valuable supplemental resource. Acknowledging the significant commitments Pre-K teachers handle daily, this curriculum is crafted to be exceptionally straightforward and accessible, requiring minimal preparation. This allows educators to focus more on teaching rather than spending time on lesson planning. Rich in content, the Believe and Read curriculum is a robust tool aimed at reducing teachers’ workload while enhancing students’ literacy experience. This initiative will be extended to all Minnesota preschools and is adaptable for those not currently participating in the full Believe and Read program. Our goal is to support educators in fostering a seamless transition for their students from Pre-K to kindergarten literacy.
