Making a Catholic education a reality for every child
We identified early on that the Latino community was disproportionately underrepresented in our schools. When we dug a bit deeper, we discovered that there were unintended barriers.
So we went to work to remove the barriers, which ranged from transportation, to language differences, to cultural proficiency, to a lack of awareness.
From launching a Spanish-language radio show, to hiring a Latino Enrollment Coordinator, to opening an office in the heart of the community, to hiring team members to work one-on-one with families, we experienced success after success.
Our team members work one-on-one with families to give them the support they needed to overcome any hurdles, whether that be language differences, transportation needs, or simply a helping friend to walk through the enrollment process.
Last year alone we enrolled more than 150 students from the Latino community.
And we just keep growing.
