Introducing Steve Hoeppner as Interim CSCOE President

On behalf of the Board of the Catholic Schools Center of Excellence (CSCOE), I am pleased to announce the appointment of Steve Hoeppner as CSCOE’s Interim President, effective immediately. Steve is the Vice President of the Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation and a current member of CSCOE’s Board of Directors. He also served as CSCOE’s Interim President from 2018-2019.

Steve is exceedingly qualified to guide the organization through its next phase of growth and development. He has demonstrated exceptional leadership abilities throughout his career, with a particular focus on advancing Catholic education and supporting the mission of Minnesota’s preschool-8th grade Catholic schools. His unwavering commitment to increasing excellence and enrollment in these schools, while continuing to engage broader community support, aligns perfectly with CSCOE’s values and vision.

In his role as Interim President, Steve will oversee the strategic direction of CSCOE and work closely with its dedicated team to strengthen and expand CSCOE’s impact. His proven track record of collaboration and innovation makes him an ideal choice to lead CSCOE during this transitional period.

“I am truly honored and excited to be appointed as the Interim President of the Catholic Schools Center of Excellence,” said Steve. “Catholic schools play a vital role in shaping the lives of our students and preparing them for success in a rapidly changing world. I look forward to working closely with the CSCOE team, Catholic school educators, and community stakeholders to further enhance the quality and accessibility of preschool-8th grade Catholic education in Minnesota.”

One of CSCOE’s founders, Steve has been invested in the organization’s success from day one. His deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing Catholic schools will be instrumental in driving CSCOE’s mission forward.

The Board of Directors has full confidence in Steve’s leadership and believes his fresh perspective and strategic focus will ensure CSCOE continues to flourish under his guidance. We are excited to enter a new chapter as an organization, and we will continue to keep you updated throughout the year.

Onward,

Gail Dorn, Executive Chair of the Board
